about

Johan Tirén, (1853-1911) a Swedish ethnographer, traveled around in Scandinavia and made recordings of folk songs and joik (one of several Sami singing styles). "Nuuk" is inspired by the story of when the boat he was aboard, went down on it´s way to Greenland. His phonograph* was lost in the shipwreck, but he did not give up his project and found that it was possible to record audio on to candles made of wax. *A phonograph is a machine for recording and playback of sound. The audio is stored on a rotating ink roll. Phonograph invented by Thomas Edison in 1877 and sold commercially from 1890 to 1925. NUUK is the capitol of Greenland.

about

Møller´s Lab Oslo, Norway

Møller´s Lab is a one-man-band with occasional contribution from my friends. I play all the instruments, do recording, mixing and master in my home-sound-office. A small room crammed with guitars, drums and all kinds of stuff. I do everything, except for mastering, in Ableton.

If you are a vocalist or make visuals/videos, please do not hesitate to contact me if you feel like collaborating.
